Eat till you drop

I often engage in the “Which one is better? Veg or non veg” conversation with my pure vegetarian friend and believe me it’s quite exhausting.

Forming counterpoints to everything she claims is not a cakewalk…

There has been a growing trend to turn vegan, which according to me is quite absurd (no offence).

True, large dependence of human on animals poses a serious threat to animal kind. But, if every human starts going vegan the need for food production through crop cultivation has to be increased ×1000 times, thereby leading to the destruction of forests and affecting the natural habitat for the animals to live in.

I agree that people practice to inject harmful drugs into the animals’ bodies for them to grow rapidly. And, an animal just like we do has every right to live on the earth. In that case, plants also have life and we kill many pests that are living on the plants for our survival.

One of the studies also says that the child fed with vegan mother’s milk has lower levels of brain fat than that of the children fed with non vegan mother’s milk.

What I believe is that both Veg and Non vegetarians are equally important for this planet to exist.

One should have their right to have the choice of food they wish to have. Imposing restrictions on others’ food habits is quite unfair.

Remember that a hungry person just seeks to fill his stomach, where food has no boundaries.

So,

Let’s Eat to live and not live to eat.

  1. I agree there shouldnt be any forceful conversion of non vegetarians in vegans and vice a versa. There has to be a balance between the two sections, just like on many other things. Its a choice that every person has the right to make. Its a very relevant topic and thanks for bringing this upfront:)

  2. I totally agree to every sentence of yours and I am vegan ..if we are all turned to be vegans then there will be imbalance in nature with animal population blowing out of proportion as they all breed in large numbers . If all are converted into non-vegans then probably this world will turn to be a forest and there will no occupation called agriculture .our bodies can digest both the animal fat and plants .. that’s why we are omnivorous .. so I don’t find any reason for converting . I just want to add more thing – both animals and plants are killed for food .but animals feel the pain when killed but plants don’t as they don’t have brain … but I don’t think this should be the reason for converting . It’s just a nature’s way of maintaining the balance . Whichever species is on the higher scale of the food chain will eat all of them that are below their scale 😊

Indeed, I agree with your point when you say animals feel the pain when killed, whereas plants don’t.
Actually, this is a very contentious issue and we can go on and on with the debate..so let’s say everyone must have the right to choose the food they want to fill in their tummies😄
