The most “Humane” stream

Hello lovely people! Firstly thanks to each and everyone for encouraging me to write more blogs of my own. So, by looking at my title you would come to know about which stream I am talking about. Yes, its Humanities! What comes in your mind when you first look at the word Humanities? Is it something related to bad grades, low IQ or horrible in studies? Let’s say out of 10 people 6 would stick to the same norm. But, its just the opposite! People in Humanities not only learn more about mankind or human behavior but also learn how to stand against injustice, and most importantly how people in this society tend to live with each other in harmony irrespective of their caste, class, race, gender etc. Though there are many people across the country who think just the opposite and kill and murder and god knows what all. I don’t understand why there is a wide gap between Science, Commerce and Humanities? All of them are streams which lead people to accomplish their goals differently. Students who don’t want to become a doctor, an engineer or an accountant. Why will they be opting for Science/Commerce first of all??? Humanities has a huge scope in opportunities. I don’t hate Science/Commerce. Nope, not at all! But the people who think that these streams have a higher position than Humanities cannot have my respect. No offence. I am truly God gifted for having such understanding parents and family who do not believe in this norm. Especially my father. If I ever succeed (why not?) In my life my father will be the main reason behind it. I chose Humanities by choice and I am so proud to take this decision and I’ll try my level best to change this belief/norm from people’s minds. I’ll like to conclude by a quote:

Limitations live only in our minds. But if we use our imaginations, our possibilities become limitless.

PS: Everyone has their own point of view and this was mine.✌☺

  1. Shonessa, I often think this too that why a certain group of people think Arts or Humanities is a legion of ‘not so intelligent’ students. I am an Arts graduate and I have been succesful in my life in whatever little did I do. This is a very relevant point and I am so happy that you picked this up and brought it forth. Thank you!!! Your blog would surely encourage many and would leave us think in a positive way. Lots of love and blessings!!!

  2. You’re absolutely right! Every stream has its own importantance and we can just not compare them, and those who think Humanities is easy, they’re are sadly mistaken because I for one am sure I wouldn’t be able to do it. It requires a lot of effort and is as tough as any other stream.
You’ve very nicely written and I hope it reallt does help people change their thinking. Great post👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼

  3. Rightly said Students and their parents should think and opt the right choice which is suitable for them. Also we as Parents should not force any one for our Likes it should be their choice where they could perform well and make carrier according to their Subjects. There are number of Famous people who never studied Business but now they are millionaire . Let’s hope Shonessa your Blog may reach directly to head”s of those people who only think for their dreams but doesn’t”t care what their children think for them selves. One more thing please write something on cool minded people who have a lot of patience in them selves and eager to achieve their Set Goals. Good Job Again keep writing on Valuable Topics which could help the Society.

  5. Hey there, I guess you have written from your perspective but you need to broaden your knowledge about the same. Time have changed its not about Arts/Science or commerce but the right approach is to what you really want do in your career actually and if you are really a career oriented one then choose wisely the subject which will be beneficial to build up the end result out of it. I have seen there are brilliant students who perform best in till tenth in all the subjects but opt for Arts so that they can built up career in into journalism/college professor/Communications/ Cinematography/psychology/Languages. But I have seen few people they have no aim in life and they choose whatever they get by default just to be called as literate as either they are surrounded by illiterate people or they have limited access. I have seen there are many girls there parents just think to see their daughters just passing the school or just do a graduation no matter what subject they take and their main aim is to get them married and the story ends. I guess you are in 11th right, did ever your ask your parent what all plans they have for your career other than marriage. I guess i derived the topis to write, will come with a good write up on the same. So have a great day and as you are in 11th you are grown up to think on these terms. Best wishes for your future 🙂

    1. I know! My parents are always very supportive in whatever decisions I make. And they really don’t want me to get married as soon as I graduate😂. I want to become a journalist so they both are with me to make this dream come true💫. Thanks for your opinion and good wishes!😘💞
